September sees a strong interest in pre-owned, fine and antique jewellery and watches with many lots up for auction from well-known jewellery and watch houses.

Pieces that are gaining much attention include pre-owned watches: a ‘Rolex 18ct gold Oyster Perpetual Day-Date Gent's Wrist Watch’ - Estimate £4,500-£5,500, a ‘Cartier Stainless Steel and Gold Panther Lady’s Wrist Watch’ – Estimate £1,600-£1,800 and a ‘Jaeger-LeCoultre stainless steel ‘Chronographe’ Gent’s Wrist Watch’ is available for £500-£600.  This demonstrates a healthy interest in the pre-owned watch market, especially if pieces are in great working order supplied with original packaging and papers.

A number of interesting antique silver items are up for auction, such as a Victorian silver mesh coin purse, engraved lipstick holder with gemstone and mirror and modern pieces such as a perfume funnel for decanting perfume into bottles.

Some very attractive and interesting opal pieces are available in September’s online jewellery and watches auction. For instance, a stunning double strand of cultured pearls is beautifully finished with a 14ct white gold opal and diamond clasp.  A very stunning and attractive 18ct white gold and opal pendant and chain showcase an opal of exceptional quality.

Some stunning diamond pieces of all kinds round out this month’s jewellery and watch auctions, as do some beautiful Victorian brooches with old cut stones containing lots of life and vibrancy.

The auction ends on Thursday 10th September from 7pm.

All lots are available to view in our Montgomery Street saleroom throughout the auction, Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm).
