THE HYLANDS COLLECTION

John Ross & Co are delighted to be given the opportunity to auction this unique collection of works which has been gathered over three decades by Belfast based art enthusiast Stephen Hylands. The collection consists of a range of works by major traditional Irish artists as well as leading contemporary artists.

 

Stephen Hylands built up his collection which initially consisted of mostly traditional Irish arti; such as the first painting he purchased ‘Bellmullet Co Mayo by Frank Eggington’. More recently the collection has evolved to include emerging Belfast contemporary artists such as Ian Charlesworth and Charles Walsh.
