T.S. Cooper

Thomas Sidney Cooper (1803-1902) was known as an animal painter from the Victorian period. Cooper was educated in the Royal Academy Schools and then later became a teacher in Brussels in 1829. 

In 1831, Thomas settled in London and held his first exhibition in Suffolk Street in 1833. It soon became clear that his main subject matter were sheep and cattle although he did experiment with a few metaphorical subjects as well.
