Romeo Charles Toogood RUA ARCA

Romeo Charles Toogood (1902-1966) was an Irish painter who studied at the Belfast School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London.  He lived in Belfast, teaching in various high schools and institutes there, including the Belfast College of Art where he taught Terence Flanagan and Basil Blackshaw.
Toogood was a member of the artist group Ulster Unit and retrospectives were held of his work by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland (1978) and the Bell Gallery (1989).
