Robert B. Higgins
Artist Bio
Robert B. Higgins was born in 1943 in County Down. One of his most famous commissions was from the Belleek Pottery Company, they asked him to paint ‘The Four Seasons’ for an edition of collectors plates. Higgins was also commissioned to mark the 25th anniversary of the Game Fair, producing a six-foot large painting including important figures of the country sports.
Higgins said, ‘I get a lot of inspiration from going shooting, While I’m standing there waiting for the birds to break, I’ve got lots of time to take in everything around me, to capture the scene and its colours in my mind’s eye.’
