Norman J. McCaig
Artist Bio
Norman McCaig (1929-2001) was born in Bangor, Co. Down and painted mainly landscapes, seascapes and harbour scenes. He studied at the Belfast College of Art and the Academy of Art in Paris. It was in Paris he met long-time friend Joseph Sefton who was an accomplished stage and set painter, they would later exhibit together.
Aside from painting McCaig was also a popular pianist, playing several key venues around Belfast.
