Jean Duncan was educated at the Edinburgh College of Art and the Ulster Polytechnic Art and Design Centre. In 1994, Jean was elected to the Royal Ulster Academy and from then on she has been involved in Northern Ireland’s significant cultural establishments.
Duncan’s work has been exhibited in both private and public collections such as AIB Bank, Bank of Ireland, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Dundee City Art Gallery and the Gaeltacht.
In 1994 she was also commissioned by the Goldberg Ensemble to produce images based on John Taverner’s music. These images were then presented at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester.
