Artist Bio

Born in Cheshire in 1869, J.A. Lynas-Gray then studied at Liverpool School of Art and in London. He was a landscape, figure and genre painter who worked largely in watercolours. Lynas-Gray has exhibited across England, at the Royal Cambrian Academy, Royal Hibernian Academy and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. Throughout his lifetime Lynas-Gray moved around England, settling finally in Carnarvonshire where he died in 1933.
