Artist Bio
GiGi is from Northern Ireland, first of all studying Art at Belfast School of Art in 1981 under Neil Shawcross changed to Architecture for 30 years and came back to Painting through a Masters in Fine Art from Central St Martins.
Her work brings these two Practices together.
This results in internalised expression of space. “I call it Spatial Expressionism. To quote Joan Mitchell ‘I carry my landscapes with me’, for me it is ‘I carry my architecture with me’.
