Artist Bio

George was the first Director of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. He was appointed Director in 1959 and the museum officially opened as the Ulster Folk museum in 1964. The transport Museum moved from Witham Street in the 1970s. He took up painting in the 1980s.
