Desmond Murrie
Artist Bio
Desmond Murrie was born in Dublin, he attended Goldsmiths College of Art in London in 1975 where his artist style was first driven by drawing. Moving towards a more figurative style in recent years, his paintings capture the spontaneity and excitement of horse racing through expressive brushstrokes and lively colours. By working en plein air, Murrie captures an in-the-moment excitement of the scene happening before him.
