RUA 142nd Annual Exhibition Portrait Winner

Congratulations to Nina Ruminska, the recipient of the Portrait Prize at the RUA 142nd Annual Exhibition, Ulster Museum Belfast (Sponsored by Ross's Auctioneers & Valuers).

Nina is a Polish painter based in Ireland. Having Studied at the Florence Academy of Classical Art (Formerly Florence Academy of Russian Art), Nina has since contributed to many art exhibitions across Ireland, including: 193rd RHA Annual Exhibition
- Dublin, Ireland, "Outside of Now" - Solo exhibition. Signal Arts Centre - Bray, Ireland & 'Exploration and Inspiration' - 55th annual exhibition of painting and sculpture by North Louth Artists - invited guest artist. An Táin Arts Centre, Dundalk, Ireland.

Her subject matter is a human in a melancholic, thinking state. Using the traditional technique of oil painting, she depicts people in neutral, relaxed poses, often in a larger context - an interior that reflects the character, or landscape - to convey a certain mood or feeling.

We, at Ross's, feel very privileged to have been invited to pick a winner for the
Portrait Prize at the RUA 142nd Annual Exhibition and Nina's work stood out to us immediately.

You can view Nina's award winning work, 'Clouds were moving so fast that day' at the RUA Exhibition in the Ulster Museum, Belfast, until January 1st 2024.
