Artist Bio
William Bingham McGuinness (1849-1928) was a landscape painter who began his career as an architect, exhibiting architectural designs at the Royal Hibernian Academy. It was during his apprenticeship that he began taking painting classes at the RHA where he discovered his passion for painting, travelling to Dusseldorf to pursue further study of the profession.
When he returned to Dublin he devoted his time fully towards painting, exhibiting with the RHA and the Royal Academy in London.
