David Williams Ellis
Artist Bio
David Williams Ellis was born in Northern Ireland in 1959 and first began his artistic career in Florence 1977 drawing in his free time. Here he worked as an Apprentice with Florentine Woodcarvers.
In 1978, Ellis was awarded the Elizabeth T.Greenshield Foundation Award and then from 1981-1984, he attended the Sir John Cass School of Art. In 1993 David was elected a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy and now makes a living in Wales, Cumbria and London.
