Colin Davidson RUA

Colin Davidson was born in Belfast in 1968 and was educated in Methodist College, Belfast from 1980-1987. He then furthered his education at the University of Ulster in 1991 studying Fine Art and Design.
Davidson’s awards include, 1994 Communication Arts Award, California, 1994 ICAD Craft Award, Dublin, 1994 Association of Illustrators, London, 1994 Winsor & Newton Gold Award, London, 1994 Creative Review Award, London, 1997 RUA Silver Medal, Belfast, 2001 RUA Conor Prize, Belfast, 2002 RUA Silver Medal, Belfast.
In 2012, Davidson personally presented his work to H.M The Queen and to the President of Ireland during the Royal visit to Northern Ireland and these portraits are on display at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast.
In 2006, Colin became an academician of the Royal Ulster Academy and is currently the President of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts.
