Artist Bio

1951 – 2012

Christine was born in Armagh and moved to London in 1972 to teach in Hampstead after teacher training college in Belfast. She returned to Northern Ireland in 1985 and entered the antiques world for a short period before taking up printmaking with the Seacourt Print Workshop. Although never having trained as an artist she had huge confidence and talent in the visual world – working with colour and abstract forms. Although relatively small, her prints usually made use of the largest presses available. She was active as a printmaker during the years 1990 to 2002 until mental ill health prevented her from producing artwork which she felt reflected her abilities. She died in 2012 with one successful exhibition and a large number of private sales through her then agent. A number of her prints are in commercial and private collections.  Her prints were usually undated.
