Catherine McWilliams RUA
Artist Bio
Catherine McWilliams was born in 1940 in Belfast, going on to attend the Belfast College of Art. Her passion for landscape, particularly scenes around County Antrim, is evident within her work, as is her fondness of painting female figures. She became an educator, teaching art first as a tutor and then as Head of Foundation Studies in Art at Rupert Stanley College.
McWilliams opened a Gallery in 1986 along with her husband Joseph, the Cavehill Gallery, and her work is held in various public and private collections.
