Probate is the legal process which follows a death. It entails validating the will and appraising the value of the assets of the deceased and the eventual distribution of the estate. It will progress to a grant of probate.

In the event of someone dying intestate, probate is still required and the exercise is known as administration resulting in the issue of a grant of letters of administration.

Ross’s advise executors, administrators and trustees of deceased estates on all aspects of valuation. The company will carry out valuations of house contents, fine art, jewellery and other assets for probate purposes. Ross's can assist executors in the entire clearance of house contents to our sale rooms.

Ross’s is a Member of the Irish Auctioneers & Valuers Institute and a Member of the Society of Fine Art Auctioneers. The company has extensive experience in assisting executors meet the requirements of H.M.R.C.
